Adult Forum meets at 9:40 a.m. each Sunday morning through May 19.

May 5 and 12—The social concerns committee and adult education committee invite you to a discussion of the book  Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond, on Sundays, May 5 and 12. Books are available for purchase in narthex for $13.00, during April.

Evicted tells the life stories of eight families in Milwaukee who live in poverty and strive to keep a roof over their heads, and the stories of their two landlords. One reviewer wrote, “Evicted is astonishing — a masterpiece of writing and research that fills a tremendous gap in our understanding of poverty.”
