Bomalang’ombe has a women’s economic development group, Tumaini (hope) that makes batik fabrics. We were introduced to the group leaders and heard a report of the progress and the future dreams of the group. We then saw a demonstration and got a chance to try folding and tying the fabric. The next night we were able to purchase some of the fabrics!
