During the week of Aug. 3-7, seven youth and four adults from Prince of Peace have been serving at a home in North Minneapolis.  Originally the youth were planning a mission trip to Appalachia to rehab houses for residents of that area.  Because of the pandemic, the Good Neighbors organization we were working with is coming to Minneapolis.  We are partnering with St. Luke’s in Bloomington, who we went to New York City with last summer.

The group will be doing home repairs for a long-time resident of North Minneapolis and learning more about the neighborhood.  Projects include painting, landscaping and concrete repair.

Thank you to all those who supported this youth “mission trip” at the two Lent Soup Suppers in early March and through the virtual Palm Sunday Breakfast.

Please pray for Leah, Lily, Lucy, Teagan, Teruni, Ashwini, Kaelyn, Natasha, Sarah, Milt, Pastor Betsy, others we are serving with, and the homeowner.  May it be a time of learning, growing, serving and building relationships.
