To assist ministry leaders and staff with our response to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, we have formed a “Smart Team” of lay leaders and staff to review the full scope of how the congregation will continue adapting its ministries and their operations. In particular, they will be making recommendations for the determining metrics and necessary protocols for the return to in-person ministry. In addition, they will be considering the likely physical adaptations we may need to make to our gathering spaces to safely move ahead.

The Smart Team will be following the guidance of public health professionals and be reviewing the practices and learnings of other congregational ministries, primarily centered around the metro Twin Cities. The latest guidance from the MN Department of Health can be viewed here. The St. Paul Area Synod also has a web page dedicated to congregational resources in response to Covid-19.

The Smart Team will begin by meeting remotely via Zoom to review its charge and establish the scope of work before them. Please keep them in your prayers as they bring their collective wisdom to bear on the challenges we face.

The current members of the Smart Team:

  • Dr. Laurel Cederberg
  • Roger Hintze
  • Brian Johnson
  • Anna Miller
  • Ryan Miller
  • Dr. Char Ulstad-Warkentien
  • Pastor Peter Christ

If you are interested in serving on the Smart Team, please contact Pastor Peter.
