You are invited to join Pastor Betsy and members of the Affordable Housing Team for a November online book study. We will be reading My Name is Child of God…Not Those People by Julia K. Dinsmore. The group will meet Mondays at 7 p.m. on November 2, 9, and 16 via Zoom.
Dinsmore grew up in the Twin Cities and has a gift for describing life on the margins. With an alcoholic parent and moving from home to home, she became adept at surviving on very little. Her first-person story, published by Augsburg Fortress, is very accessible and told with humor. Her stories and poems reveal what it is like to be poor in America.
Email Pastor Betsy to join the book group. Each participant is asked to get their own book and read Part A (up to page 70) for the first discussion. New and used copies are available in bookstores and online.
