What better way to show gratitude than to serve others?  On Saturday, November 21, Prince of Peace joined with other churches in Roseville and Keystone Community Services provided 43,512 pounds of food for Thanksgiving to 1000 households/4,650 individuals and $12,750 in grocery gift cards.  The food was provided by Second Harvest.

For four hours the Roseville Public Works Building was transformed into a food distribution center, with 5 cars at a time entering the building as volunteers loaded boxes of food into their cars.  The logistics were impressive as 250 cars were served each hour.  Others worked behind the scenes, filling bags of food and breaking down boxes for recycling.

In addition to volunteers, PoP provided $750 in Cub gift cards that people could use to purchase a turkey or other food items.
