Receiving mail is one of the small joys during this time apart. You are invited to make Valentines as a part of our intergenerational Valentine Project.  Whether you are 2, 22 or 92 this is for you!

Do I Need to be an Artist?  No!  Can you cut out a heart?  Then you are qualified.

Art Supply Pick Up & Drop Off Times:  Use your own art supplies or pick some up at church.  Stop the church anytime the office is open (most weekdays- 8:00am – 4:00pm), Saturday, Jan. 30 from 9:00am -12:00pm, Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 5:00 – 7:00pm, Saturday, Feb. 6 from 9:30 – 10:30am and Monday, Feb. 8 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  No need to come into the church as all art supplies are set up in the vestibule inside the main doors near the sanctuary.

Due Date:  Return completed Valentines to church no later than 7:00pm on Monday, Feb. 8.

Zoom Art Sessions:  You can make these at home anytime, but it is fun to do art as a community.  Therefore, you are invited to join Pastor Betsy and others on Zoom as we make Valentines.  Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 6:00 – 7:00pm or Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 2:00 – 3:00pm.

Who receives the Valentines?  We are hoping to make enough to send to every household in the congregation.

How Many Should I Make?  You can make 1 or 5 or 25 or however many you’d like.  Please indicate on the sign-up sheet with the art supplies how many you will make so we can ensure we make enough to send to everyone.  Using your own supplies?  Email betsy@poproseville.org with how many you are making.

How do I make Valentines?

  • Valentines are made of cardstock in red, pink or white.  Use your own art supplies or pick them up at church.
  • Fold and cut the card stock so it fits in a business size (#10) envelope.
  • Decorate the front.  Cut out hearts.  Use construction paper, newspaper, wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, crayons, markers, paint or anything else creative.  Please do not use beads or anything 3 dimensional as it won’t be able to go through the postage meter.
  • Paste or tape the inside message into the card.  You can pick it up at church or download it here.  Add your name.  For kids, you might also want to include your age.
  • Return completed Valentine’s to church by Feb. 8 so they can be received by Valentine’s Day.

Thank you for participating in this way to roll up our sleeves together!
