This time of Covid seems to be never-ending, especially during the many months of winter when it is harder to gather with others outdoors.  People of all ages are invited to join us to discuss Laura Ingalls Wilder’s The Long Winter.  This is a story of a difficult winter and the resiliency of Laura and her family to survive the harsh blizzards.  Whether you have read the book many times or are discovering it for the first time, you are invited to Zoom discussion.

During Lent we are focusing on how we are turning.  We’ll talk about the many ways that they turned and adapted during that winter including closing school, grinding wheat, making a button lamp, cutting back to two meals a day, and twisting hay for the fire.

You can get the book at the library, bookstores or maybe you already have a copy!
