Prayers & Commendation during worship at 8:30am
Celebration of Life at 1pm
The community will gather this day to remember Dorothy Smuder. [Read her obituary here]. Dorothy and her dear friend and love, Butch Meyer, have been members of Prince of Peace for the past 10 years. Dorothy and Butch’s families are gathering together on this day to remember Dorothy’s life and invite their friends to participate.
We will include a time of prayer during our 8:30am worship this morning, honoring this dear saint whose baptismal journey has taken its final steps, and commending her to God’s eternal care.
At 1pm, Dorothy & Butch’s friends and members of the Prince of Peace community are welcome to join Butch and the families at a “Celebration of Life” to take place in Central Park. A light lunch will be served and a program, including scripture, music, and remembrances from those gathered will be offered. This event will take place in the Jaycees Shelter, off Lexington, near the ROG Amphitheater, and just across Bennet Lake from Prince of Peace.
