Our theme for Advent and Christmas is “A light shines in the darkness” from John 1:5. During this darkest time of year, we look ahead and place our hope in the birth of Jesus who is the light of the world.
During this season of Advent we seek to be that light for those in our community. We have three options for ways to give back to the community this season:
Gift Cards for Lyngblomsten
Prince of Peace is a member congregation of Lyngblomsten, which provides housing and other services for seniors. You’re invited to purchase a gift card to for a Lyngblomsten resident. Suggestions include Amazon, Visa, Target, or Kohls. You can also make a monetary donation online at www.lyngblomsten.org/donate.

Fleece for Making Blankets
Many people lack housing and other basic needs in our community. You are invited to purchase 2 yards of fleece (any color or pattern). We will make fleece blankets for Bridging, a nonprofit organization serving people who are newly housed, at our Christmas Café on Dec. 19. Please drop off fleece anytime the PoP office is open.

Baby Shower for Jesus
The Magi brought gifts to the Baby Jesus. You are invited to donate diapers (any size), baby wipes, or formula for new moms and babies through Lutheran Social Service. Bring items to the Christmas Café on December 19 or drop them off anytime the PoP office is open.
