Dear Friends-

Beginning this Sunday, Nov. 7, all our Sunday morning activities will be located inside our facility.  This is a change from what was announced during worship last week. Recognizing the centrality of the “Cloud of Saints” now installed in our sanctuary for All Saints Day, along with the needs for our planned intergenerational event taking place between services, we have decided this is the best time to make this change.

Ministry leaders, in consultation with our Smart Team, have decided that we can continue to provide safe indoor environments for worship and the variety faith formation experiences we offer.  One important tool for our community’s safety will be the continued use of masks.  And, as we enter into another cold & flu season, please wash and sanitize your hands regularly and practice good social distancing.

Here’s what you can expect, starting this Sunday:

  • Both 8:30am and 10:30am worship services will be hosted in the sanctuary.
  • The 8:30am service can be seen live on our YouTube channel, or the recorded version is available for viewing any time afterwards.
  • Beverage hospitality will take place in the Reception Room.  Masks may only be slipped down while seated at tables in order to drink.
  • Sunday Intergenerational Events will take place primarily in the reception room and gym.
  • PoP Kids will gather in the gym and Foundations will meet in the Youth Room on the lower level.
  • Sunday Forum will be held in the sanctuary with remote participation available on Zoom.
  • Going Deeper, community conversation, learning and discussion continue on Zoom Sunday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm.

We hope that you and your family will continue to find ways to remain connected to your community of faith and that the experiences we provide will renew your spirits.  Lastly, please join me in thanking all the volunteers who have made our weekly outdoor worship possible since we began this effort last May.  We look forward to returning outside whenever the weather and circumstances will allow.

May God continue to keep us safe and nurture us for the work ahead.
