June 20 – 24, 2022

There is still time to register for Food Truck Party VBS, June 20-24.

Food Truck Party VBS is 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, June 20-24.  We will focus on Bible stories about food, plus sing songs, play games and do crafts and science.  VBS is for children age 3 through 5th grade.  Those entering 6th grade through adult are invited to be volunteer leaders.

Serve & Learn Week debuted last summer and we had participants of all ages.  Whether you’re in elementary school or retired, this is a great way to love and serve our neighbors and have fun while doing so.  The theme is “give us our daily bread” and projects will focus on hunger insecurity and other basic needs.  Participate one afternoon or all week.  Times will be approximately 1-4 p.m. each day.

For those participating all day, bring your lunch and we’ll have time to eat, play and relax between noon and 1:00pm.

Monday: Create packages of dishes and kitchen utensils for Bridging, a nonprofit in Roseville that provides furniture and household items for families just getting into housing.  Tour Bridging’s warehouse to learn more about the organization. Home – Bridging | Furnishing Homes with Hope

Tuesday: Rice Street Gardens at Galilee Lutheran Church – Learn about the 260 community garden plots that are utilized by people who speak more than 10 different language.  Meet some of the gardeners and help with gardening or other projects. https://www.galileelutheranelca.com/
