Hello everyone! I hope all is well in Minnesota. This morning we started off the day with a refreshing stop at Starbucks. From there we walked to the famous Chicago landmark, the bean. The bean was amazing! We took many pictures and one is included in the video that should be posted soon. Last night we were too “pooped” to do our devotions so instead we talked about our topic in Millennium Park by Crown Fountain. All 13 of us then hopped on the train so we could make our way towards the DuSable African American Museum, before heading in some of us took a seat on the grass to eat our lunch because we were a little early. Once in, we got to walk around the top floor before heading into “The March” which was a digital exhibit allowing us to experience vital parts of the march in Washington, this included a sound booth along with a virtual reality simulation that put us right in the middle of the march. After leaving the museum we sat outside and talked about what we saw, how it made us feel, privilege, racism, and ways that we can help make the world a better place for everyone. We then headed back to the bus stop, then to the train as it began to rain. once of the train the rain had subsided and we got back to the hostel mostly dry, there we had around 2 hours of rest time before heading back out to the Pier at 5:30. At the Pier we split up to do what ever are little hearts desired, a little shopping, got some snacks, went or rides and just looking around before coming back together to eat dinner. After dinner we took some more pictures then watched the fire work show which was amazing. we made our way back to hostel safely with minor inconveniences, nothing we couldn’t handle! We are loving the trip so far, thank you all for helping us go on this trip and helping fund it, we appreciate you SO MUCH!

Have a great night,

Teagan and Ava
