At University Lutheran Church of Hope in Dinkytown Minneapolis (601 13th Ave. SE) we do an annual concert called Night Songs (last held in 2019 due to the pandemic) which features area choirs and instrumentalists performing pieces that are paired with poetry and visual projections of space and our planet. Dr. James Flaten from the U of M provides some truly stunning images. This year’s concert will be Feb. 10 at 7:30pm, with a 6:15 call time for singers.

There are also 2 mass choir pieces that anyone from the metro area is invited to participate in! Please extend an invitation to the singers of your choirs to come and participate! We will sing 2 pieces – Frank Ticheli’s Earth Song and Joan Szymko’s It Takes a Village.

Mass choir rehearsals will be Jan 21 and Feb. 4 from 11am-12:30pm. Sheet music and part recordings can be found in this Google Drive folder.

University Lutheran Church of Hope is a progressive congregation, and people of all faiths, ethnicities, gender identities, etc. are welcome to participate.
