The Campus Planning Task Force (CPTF) met on Monday, April 17 to begin its work.  The CPTF was established by the Congregation Council at their March meeting to examine the following questions:

  • Phase One What needs to be done with our current interim tiny settlement to satisfy the compliance issues raised by the city of Roseville?
  • Phase Two Does a permanent tiny home settlement fit our vision of how our land and facilities are best used to fulfill our mission to build the church and love the world?
  • Phase Three What is our long-range vision for how our campus should be used?  What ministries will be our main focus and how should our campus be developed to support those ministries?

These will not be addressed in a sequential manner but as a whole.  The first phase is focused on the most immediate issue of interim permit acquisition and bringing our current settlement up to proposed state codes.

The City Council will consider the next proposed steps at its meeting on Monday, April 24 at 6:00pm.  All are encouraged to attend.  The task force will meet at PoP after attending the City Council meeting.

The second and third phases will be looked at as a whole to come up with a comprehensive plan for the future.  The committee will make recommendations to the Congregation Council and to the congregation to consider for action.  Please watch for updates and reports.

The Council appointed the following members:  Steve Sveom, chair;  James Ericksen; Andrew Hannesh; Gus Haugan; Chris Henningson; Kristina Krepela; Dian Larson; Rick Rothausen; Arjun Sethi; Michael Stetzler; Esther Tatley; and Brian Wolf.
