Recruiting Float Designers and Riders to Represent PoP in Rosefest Parade

The City of Roseville is once again hosting Rosefest June 22-28. One highlight of this annual community celebration is the Rosefest Parade, taking place on the evening of Monday, June 26. The parade route travels from Roseville Area High School, turns north on Lexington past Central Park, and finishes at the Oval. 20,000 spectators line the route and they’re treated to marching bands, fire trucks, and countless floats entered by community organizations and business.

Prince of Peace will be there to join the fun! Last year, Pastor Peter drove his 1970 Jeep Pickup and we handed out lots of treats as we passed by. Should we do the same thing this year? Should the truck pull a trailer or a float ? What goodies should we hand out? We could use your input.

We’re also looking for a handful of folks to walk or ride along, and hand out candy and other treats to the crowds along the curb as we go. The parade starts at 6:15pm and finishes when it finishes, depending on where we get placed in the lineup (hopefully we won’t be last again this year).

If you’re interested in being on our float team or have ideas to share, just email Pastor Peter or call the office.
