Baptism

As Lutheran Christians, we believe that baptism is a gift from God that we do nothing to earn.  It is pure grace.  God promises to never give up on us.  Parents, sponsors and the gathered congregation – representing all of God’s people – promise to help raise this child of God in the faith.

Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirt…and remember, I am with you always to the end of the age.”  Matt. 28:19-20.

Thus, as Lutherans we baptize infants and people of any age.  If you are interested in baptism at Prince of Peace, please contact the church office at 651-484-4144 or one of the pastors.

Prior to baptism, one of the pastors will have a conversation about baptism with the family and then we schedule baptism during an upcoming worship service.
