Enter into Thanksgiving with your family and friends during this special service, giving thanks to God and sharing the meal that restores body, mind and spirit. Taking a few moments together, we’ll re-orient our lives around an invitation to come to the table and to become “re-membered” to God and to one another.
The Light Shines in the Darkness – This is the BIG IDEA for the coming seasons of Advent & Christmas but now we need your help to bring it to life. How might this theme shape our worship, our faith formation, our fellowship? How might we decorate our gatherings spaces? Do we want to do anything outdoors this year? What other ideas might help our community enter into these seasons more deeply while being reconnected and renewed even more?
In 64 years of ministry, Prince of Peace has been a faithful part of the Body of Christ, sharing God’s love here in Roseville and across the globe. God has indeed set in us a strong foundation. Now, the unexpected turmoil of a pandemic has amplified the challenges before us. We have shown resiliency and compassion, as we’ve navigated through shifting safety protocols. Our community members have responded with investments of time, energy, and resources, enabling us to continue going about the work God has called us to. But God is also calling us forward, somewhere altogether new. And we need your help to get there in three important ways.
You are invited to join us between worship services today as we learn all about generosity while playing a variety of games on our midway. Attendees will also receive the 2022 Annual Giving Campaign materials.
This is the mission of Prince of Peace: “We’re claimed, gathered, and sent to build the church and love the world.” But these words only get us so far, we still have to do the building and the loving. For the next few weeks, God’s story offers us special insight into how God is already at work in us, building us up so that we might be a blessing to our neighbors and to one another.
The community will gather this day to remember our member Marianna Forde. Monday, October 11. Visitation at 9:30am. Memorial Service at 10:30am. Additional visitation and lunch to follow.
