"Making Room" Christmas Play

Have you ever had news that you just had to share with someone? You are brimming over with joy, fear, excitement, surprise -- that is how Mary felt as she shares with her cousin Elizabeth the news of the upcoming birth of her child. Today the children portray the story of Jesus’ birth in the Christmas Play “Making Room.”

Scripture References: Luke 1:39-56

There is little doubt that the lives we lead are full, but are they filled with the right things? Lately, life might seem to be filled more with doubts, challenges, frustrations, and division. This Advent, why not take a breath, slow down for a moment and make some room for the good that is breaking into the world? The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:30-33
