PoP Packs Hope at Feed My Starving Children MobilePack

An activity for people of all ages!  On Tuesday, April 30, we’ll be joining our friends at Incarnation Lutheran Church in Shoreview for their annual “All Hands on Hope” MobilePack event to support Feed My Starving Children (FMSC).  As a Christian non-profit organization, FMSC is called to feed God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit.  With God’s help, FMSC works together with organizations and ministries like Incarnation and Prince of Peace and others across the globe to end hunger.

FMSC’s process is simple. Donations given by people just like you fund the meal ingredients (rice, veggies, soy & vitamins). Volunteers hand-pack the meals. Meals are donated to FMSC food partners around the world, where kids are fed and lives are saved!

There are two ways to get involved:

1. Join a volunteer team for a two-hour shift where, along hundreds of other volunteers, we’ll pack meals for and help them reach their goal of packing 750,000 meals over a 4-day period.  We have two team time slots for Prince of Peace on April 30: 2:30-4:30pm and 5:00-7:00pm.  No special skills are required and work can be done by folks with all kinds of abilities.  The minimum age for volunteering is 5 and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Just scroll down and fill out the form below if you would like to join one of our teams.

2. Sponsor a packer (or at least 1/2 a packer).  Our goal is to fundraise enough to pay for all the meals we hope to pack.  A $50 gift will cover the cost of the ingredients for all the meals one person will pack during their 2-hour shift.  Go to our Online Donation portal to make a gift – please indicate “FMSC” in the “special designation” field.
